2017 Scholarship Application and Instructions

Current Scholarships

ACAP in partnership with Ernst & Young LLP will provide scholarship awards to San Francisco Bay Area ACAP Alumni that have a declared major or plan to major in  Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Information Systems.

Who is eligible to apply?
To be eligible, students must:

  • Have attended and graduated from the San Francisco Bay Area Accounting Career Awareness Program
  • Be enrolled at an accredited college or university in the Fall of 2017
  • Plan to major in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Information Systems
  • Demonstrate the following qualities: leadership, the ability to work on diverse teams, a positive attitude and commitment to giving back to the community
  • Have a 3.0 GPA or above (GPA should be cumulative for those that are still in high school with an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university for Fall 2017 or currently enrolled college students).

Accounting Career Awareness Program Scholarship Awards
In 2010, the Accounting Career Awareness Program, in partnership with Ernst & Young LLP, awarded the first annual ACAP/Ernst & Young scholarships to well deserved ACAP alumni. To date, ACAP, with the support of E&Y, has awarded scholarship awards approximating $20,000.

To be eligible, students must be alumni of the ACAP program and currently attending an accredited college or university, majoring in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Information Systems. Scholarships are awarded in May of each year during the National Association of Black Accountants, San Francisco Bay Area Scholarship and Awards Gala.
